VILLA PISANI AND DOGES, KINGS AND EMPERORS IN ITS HISTORY
The tour runs along the history of the Villa in the piano nobile. In every room works of art and furniture suggest the presence of so many important guests: Napoleon, Maria Carolina, empress of Austria, the first king of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele II Savoy and many others.

PANORAMA BETWEEN PHANTASY AND REALITY: views in the corridors of Villa Pisani
As through the windows of an eighteenth century carriage, in the long corridors of Villa Pisani visitors look onto a sequence of panoramas: views of the country and of the town, bucolic scenes and exotic tales of travel. Visitors have the unique opportunity to see the whole perimeter of the corridors (usually closed to public), decorated by Giuseppe Zais, one of the most important landscapists of the eighteenth century in Veneto.

YOU HAVE MY HEART IN YOUR HAND: famous couples at Villa Pisani
A tale set in the rooms of the piano nobile of Villa Pisani tells us some passionate and sometimes not well known love stories in the nineteenth and twentieth century: Eugène Beauharnais and Amalia of Bavaria, Gabriele D’Annunzio and Eleonora Duse.

MONOCHROME PAINTING BETWEEN EIGHTEENTH AND NINETEENTH CENTURY
The tour show the fortunes of the particular monochrome fresco in its different aspects: from the rococo illusionism of Simonini to the severe neoclassicism of Bevilacqua, through the realism of Giandomenico Tiepolo.

FRESCOES AND FURNITURE OF NEOCLASSICAL AGE AT VILLA PISANI
In 1807 Eugène Beauharnais, Napoleon’s stepson and Viceroy of Italy became owner of Villa Pisani and embellished it with notable works of art which took inspiration from the Empire style that France had exported all over Europe. The tour goes on in the Beauharnais’s and Bonaparte’s apartment, showing the nineteenth century look of a rococo style mansion.

TIEPOLO IN VILLA: frescoes of Giambattista Tiepolo and Giandomenico Tiepolo in the Villas of Veneto
During the introduction of the tour, slides will show the frescoes painted by Giambattista Tiepolo and his son Giandomenico in several villas in the hinterland, with particular attention to the connection between the two artists and their customers. The tour goes on in the Ball Room, with a detailed description of the fresco painted by G.B. Tiepolo on the ceiling with his son’s help, who painted monochrome allegories.

ON THE TRACK OF GABRIELE D’ANNUNZIO: reading “The Flame of Life” in the place it was set
D’Annunzio transposed his story with Eleonora Duse into his novel “The Flame of Life”, in part set at Villa Pisani, which he visited with the actress in November 1897. The tour is a visit of the villa and the garden with the writer’s eye, following the pages of his novel and posing where he was much impressed.
